know your car. after a few times of embarrasement of pulling off the bumper when it gets caught reversing, you should know how close you can get when parking front in..
this happened to me a few times, coincidentally in front of two different kids preschools while they were at recess and they ran up to the gate like hey, somebody hit your car! who hit your car?! try explaining that one to four year olds...
what I did was also tighten up the bumper screw/slide thingamabobs on the sides where the corner lights are where the bumper meets the body. if it is loose it will cause the bumper to hang extra low and catch unwanted curbs, but when its tight and flush with no gaps, you should be fine at MOST parkings, but still make a habit to park before you go over
oh yea, also there was a recall on that little splashguard of mischief...acura says unbolt it and put it back on upside down, that way the downward angled parts are away from those dreaded parking blocks.
I just know when to stop inching forward when I park. Some people used to make jokes like hey, you always park with the back sticking out a little, and I used to say, thats so I can see my car better when I'm looking for it in the parking lot...especially at the walmart sea of cars parking lot
parking backwards is always better, never know when you gotta shoot up the place and peel off very fast!
