Default BRAKE LIGHT WONT TURN OFF!!!!!

My brake lights are stuck on. The headlights are off but, all three brake lights wont turn off unless I pull the battery cable. I tried flipping the lights, tapping the brake pedal. The only other thing i noticed was that the cruise control all of a sudden stopped working as well. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome. I thought possibly a fuse but obviously there's power to it. Thanks!

Check the plastic button under the pedal. They break over time. May have to make a substitute button with a bolt

You should test that the switch is working. Hold down the brake pedal and press the switch in with your finger, see if the lights go off. If they do, the switch is fine. If they don't, the switch needs to be replaced/adjusted/maybe just cleaned internally.
