Default Wet front pillar

My front passenger-side pillar, when it rains heavily, becomes wet and drips from the felt/fuzzy portion near the door. There is no moisture coming from the door seal or passenger window that I can see or feel, which leads me to believe the moonroof drains are clogged.

My question is this: If the pillar is wet and dripping, does that mean that there is a hole in my moonroof drain tube, somewhere in the pillar? It seems odd that it would get soaked up there in the pillar if the drain is clogged; wouldn't the water just spill out of the moonroof itself into the interior?

^^Yes, normally. I would suspect a leak under the windshield / windshield trim to be causing the problem.

also there can be rust under the roof trim that caused a crack where water gets in....i have water leaking onto the fuzzy seal too on my passenger side....going deal with it this summer

It could be that the where the drain tube attaches to the moon roof assembly has a problem or as already stated you may have a leak somewhere on the window in that vicinity.

My TL leaked like that and it was the top corner of the windshield. I guess the windshield had been replaced at some point and not sealed well enough. I was able to get some window weld in under the trim and it stopped the leak

Thanks all, very much. I'll pull the pillar trim and check the moonroof drain, the roof trim, and the windshield and report back with what I find. Stay tuned.
