where not to buy
I feel obligated to make this post to share the bad experience that I’ve had with my last online order @ A.S Motorsports in Holland: New set of springs, CV boots, rear abs sensor, 4 new OEM wheel hub caps, and a whole set of service parts including filters, timing belt and water pump. I just got the Legend this summer and being my dream car since I was 18, almost 20 years ago, I wanted to do it right. Anyways, to the point: I looked around for a while and tried to get everything from one place which apparently was specialized on the car, and was local here in Europe. In theory he was supposed to have everything I needed, except for the wheel caps and the ABS sensor, which had to be order special and should have taken about 2 weeks according to the seller. I didn’t want to do this, but the order was placed and paid in full back in august, and even though at first I was getting a good feeling with the guy, this has changed radically and I would like everyone on the community to be informed. Before paying I looked around a bit and got information from a couple of places, this guy was a little more expensive but he did a good job providing me a complete quote with all I wanted, he even confirmed to me he could get the new springs with the settings I wanted for my car. Unfortunately as soon as I made the payment he then told me that there was a back order of 3 weeks for the springs, which latter I had to track him down to find out there was going to be another delay of 2 weeks and then when I asked him to please make sure, he finally said he couldn’t provide me the springs anymore. They were the main reason why I placed the order with this guy, but I must say he did refund me for them right away.[*]However that’s not the end of it. He was going to send me the parts finally the last week of September but 10 days latter I tell him that I hadn’t received anything yet, he emails me that they are on the way, well they took another week since then to arrive. When I got them, a few of the parts were damaged, which ok it is not his fault so it has nothing to do with this post, but the surprise was what that the ABS sensor wasn’t in the box. So I contact him once more to say what’s going on, all right so he says he will order one and it should take a week and a half. This is a month after I had paid the order, and at this point you can imagine I am completely disgusted with this guy, I didn’t hear anything from him and off course I didn’t get anything on the mail, so a month latter I tell him to just make me a refund for the 136€ I paid for it. He then says he sent it by TNT, so I went looking for it but there was no record of anything from this guy, he doesn’t send me any tracking information or anything either, so I thought about putting it on the internet, and now finally I got around to do it. Well I hope it is useful to someone else and if anyone has a similar or different experience I would like to hear about it!
