There has been a lot of debate about the cost of building forced induction vehicles. Everyone has there own idea in mind so I think you should keep your ideas within your budget and if your budget is low start slow and do it as you go along. I think a lot of you guys need to build in pieces instead of trying to force feed the price of a project. So I am starting this thread to let you know the base cost of what my force induction build cost me to give you a base line to go off of. So if anyone running boost want's to add to this thread feel free. I know this is a little bit of a debate but this thread is designed to give some insight. So if you haven't built it or aren't presently building it and just considering doing it don't bother adding your two cents! There's to much talk not enough action!Let start the New Year right in the words of Stacey David" GET OUT THERE AND BUILD SOMETHING "
![]() My S/C build were it presently is: $300 on intercooler, pipping and silicone cuplers $1,100 on supercharger $700 on supercharger crank pulley and various sized supercharger pulleys $100 on steel to make the mount $150 on bypass valve and rebuild o-ring $100 on fuel pump $250 on adjustable fuel pressure regulator and fuel lines $750 on welder for various items, oil pan, mount, pipping, etc... $400 on a custom dual exhaust Total of $3,850 The prices will vary on who you get to do what, if you do it yourself and if you buy the items for the build new or used. $150 on 450cc dsm injectors $170 on map sensor $1,000 on AEM Stand a lone $1,200 on rechecking wiring, installing fuel pump, and 2 dyno tunes Total of $2,520 The prices will vary as to if you buy the parts new or used, how much wiring you want to do, who tunes your vehicle, and what system you desire to run: Holley, AEM or etc... stand a lone, or stock pcm with chip and Vortech FPR with bigger injectors, or a piggy back system like AEM Fic, Greddy e manage ultimate, venom, or whatever other aftermarket systems you can come up with. The options are endless, you just have to do your research and be willing to try something that no one else has and see where it takes you. But I must say you can get your car to run off of whatever system you want, but stand alone is your best option for optimal performance. At the end of it all it's not about the money, it's about what you have, the pride you feel knowing you accomplished something few people have and getting to enjoy it. I will update this post as I make improvements.
