Default DONE with Legends

I'll be downsizing my Legend fleet.

Without getting into a very long, and personal story I have had a very, VERY shitty last 5 weeks (or so)

As usual I'm always keeping an eye out for a really nice '94 blk/blk 6MT LS to pair up with "Six." Haven't seen any in a loooong time. (thanks to Penny, Tyson, Marc and Alan for the past possible heads up)

With a new job, and a raise this past January I've been looking into some kind of new ride. 2012 Mustang 350 convertable, Cadillac CTS-V coupe, Lexus GS430, NSX, and others. As you can see for the last 8-10 months that I've been thinking about something new(er) I'm all over the board.

I'm pretty sure I've found something that will let me celebrate my new job/raise, hopefully make me feel better about the last month, and even get my wife excited about the new addition. But its going to (way) MORE than blow my Legend budget.

More info hopefully soon.

Sad to hear this but this sort of thing seems to be the trend around here lately. Even I thought about it but one time or another but I could never give up my Vanessa. I guess I just have too many memories (good and bad) associated with my car. GL with the possible sale and I hope it stays on the forum.

Sorry to hear that your are done with Legends (your words). I guess that everyone moves on when they feel the need. But if you think that buying a 30-40k will make your life better, better think again. You'll still be driving down the road just like everyone else, except now you'll be 20-30k in debt.
With your new job and promotion, maybe that's just a drop in the bucket.
Good for you. I wish you the best.
Remember to save some money for NALM.

By no means was my raise enough to consider $20k-$30k a "drop in the bucket" but I wish!

I've put in a few weekends that could go twords NALM expenses, but I'm not going to promise anything just yet.

Although we all love Legends sometimes it's fun to have a much different car, I never quite understood why you had so many Legends of the same type ( I always thought you were a bit eccentric that way LOL). I hope you find something you really like!!

Three actually. Nah, I'm not selling them all, and I don't plan on leaving these forums. I'm posting less and less, but thats just because I don't have alot to "talk" about.

Thanks Mark. Yea its silly how I ended up buying a second identical GS less than six months after I purchased my first one. If you can consider buying a car out of state an impusle buy than that was it.

It was early in my Legend owning days, and I came across a low milage '95 GS that was EVERYTHING I wanted in a GS. Factory trunk spoiler, low miles, OEM foglights, and these weird lights in the bumper! It was an automatic, but at that time I wasn't considering a 6MT.

I can relate to this last statement from time to time and certainly a bit more than others... especially more in the past. Our little forum that we have here has a really solid group of individuals, that for the most part are extremely cordial to each other which makes it a very close knit place to be a part of. For that previous reason I enjoy periodically surfacing out from lurker status and checking in every few to kinda play catch up. I'm sorry to hear about your recent spell of bad times you ran into bud. I hope all goes well for you in the future, and years to come! Maybe taking a bit off your plate by losing 2 out of the 3 from your fleet and looking for something a bit more newer or specialized would be just what you need. That could in effect help kick start you turning over a new leaf and celebrating your promotion all in one go. On the other hand maybe that elusive matching pristine Blk on Blk GS 6MT falls right into your lap... you never really know eh! Don't give up and keep thinking positive, and i'm sure all will work out for the best. Congrats on the new gig btw Dave!
Cheers
