Default Braking Problems

HI there,

I have a question regarding my brakes. When i'm driving a certain speed and I press the brakes hard it pulles to the left then if i let go it pulls back to the right. I checked out to see if any caliper is stuck by jacking up the front of the car and turning the wheels while brakes press and they both working (atleast i think). Has anyone experience this before? Do you have a possibility on what can be causing this?

This isn't enough to check the operation of a caliper. It takes a minuscule amount of brake pressure to hold the wheel tight when you try turning it by hand. Arms are weak. If the alignment is good and the car is noticeably pulling to one side when breaking, there's a good chance that there's a problem with one or both of the brakes on one side. Check the pads, if they are worn uneven from left to right than the caliper is almost certainly sticking.

What is the best way to check if a caliper is stuck?

If a caliber is stuck in against the rotor, it will be putting pressure on all of the time and you should smell the brakes burning. I suspect in your case, the left front brake is working well and your right front is either not working or not working very well, hence the pull to the left.

You can check to see if the caliper is sticking by having the wheel off the ground and then have someone hold the brake. As soon as they let off you should be able to spin the wheel by hand freely. If it remains tight or is hard to turn, you have a stuck caliper possibly a bad flexible line to the caliper

After a short drive, the rim temperature will tell you if that brake is dragging.

I tested the rims and they are not getting hot when I drive. Drove for about 20 minutes and nothing. Do you think I might have a warp rotor or maybe my pads are casuing this issue?

Warped rotor would give you pulsing in the pedal. It could be a number of things but as mentioned, check the condition of the pads on both sides and see if the wear is even all around. Could be the guide pins too- they could need greasing
