i just broke mine and did the manual adjustment...
I still have the gear pieces... having a tight epoxi could beat it i think.

I'll take some pictures and let you know

Default Same problem

2002 RL - my up/down tilt just had the same failure and I confirmed the gear is broken after removing the motor to inspect. Any luck with efforts to replicate the part? If any one has a junk column, I could sure use the gear....

Great writeup bro. I finally got the electrical kinks worked outta mine, but the tilt motor gets stuck if i let it go all the way up or all the way down, and I gotta loosen the motor to release tension, then it works again. What do you think could be causing this? (I know I have a Legend but they appear to be similar)

hey on a related note, how low do your steering wheels go guys? Mine doesn't seem like it goes as low as it should. Mine goes about flush with the dash right under the cluster...damn it's hard to explain this lol.

I'm now another statistic for this broken plastic gear . Anyone want to help me find just the replacement tilt gear? There's no rl at my breakers yard. I'll pay for shipping, part and for your time/fuel. PM me if you can help
