Knowing Waseem and the research he did on it and other things, I'd trust it in my automatic transmission.

If 8 had an auto, I would've done the same.

I have about 1200 miles on this oil and feels just like good old ATF-Z1. I'd recommend using it over the castrol generic import fluid.
On another note, I'm convinced that 95% of the transmission problems are due to poor maintenance because dealers and mechanics are always saying that ATF is good for the life of the car to make the cost of ownership seem lower.

Have had success running the castrol oil after cleaning the valves bodys. I also found putting some seafoam trans tune in for the last 100 miles before fluid change cleaned a lot of tarnish from the transmission internals, and smoothed out my shifting significantly.

I had to get in there again a few weeks ago to clean the solenoids, and boy were the screens clogged. The difference this time was that I put a magnefine 3/8" inline filter to catch those darn particles before they can be a problem. It was super easy. I took out the rubber return hose from the radiator to the tranny (on the hard line closest to the wheel), and cut out just enough to insert the filter with hose clamps. I then put the whole hose filter assembly back in again. The direction of fluid flow is from the radiator to the tranny. I'm hoping I don't have to clean the 'noids very often, but maybe replace the filter after the first 15K, and maybe less later.
