I just found out that the Mackinac Bridge that connects Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas is closed for a chunk of the day every Labor Day for a walk the bridge event. Now I’ll have to come up with a plan for going through Michigan instead of just winging it.

Our plans are to arrive on September 2nd. We have been in Minnesota since 5-14 after we sold our house outside of Atlanta. Still haven't found a place to live up here. With the mechanical state of the GS still in question, if things fall into place I may just pack it up, put the title in the glove box and head east and pray nothing along the way goes wrong.
