EGR removal help?

It's that time, I just hit 150k and as far as I know, I think this will her first time too.(EGR Removal)

The legend is my DD, otherwise I'd like to tinker with it myself and try to figure it out over a weekend.

Id like to see if anyone would like to help, or needs it done too that way we can team up one day and knock it out. I can provide pizza beer, or just pay.

Possibly turn this into a meet as well?

Probably wouldn't hurt to buy an eBay gasket set. For when removing the intake manifold. You never know if the hole that the EGR pipe connects to in the intake manifold is clogged. I would even go as far as going to a local junkyard and remove the lower portion of the intake manifold from a 3.5 motor. You would also have the practice of removing things by the time you do the work on your own car.

You don't need a torque wrench for removing and cleaning your EGR.

The DIY said you had to take off the strut bar. I would like to torque those things in spec. and whatever bolts that hold the intake mani.

After hearing what Mitz has to say. This will sounds like it will take up a whole weekend! I can't afford that.
Anyone local with experience on this? I'm a hands on visual learner.

Maybe I should get my bike running, so I can put the car in the garage! ha I wish.

Oh yea I forgot that's in your way. I take mine off so much I never use a torque wrench to tighten it. Just make sure it's nice and snug. I really only use my torque wrench on internal engine stuff and suspension.

I think I'm just "to the spec" nazi.
I had an older landcruiser and just before a cross country road trip, I replaced my thermostat and stripped the housing on block. I still manage to make my trip luckily. They don't call em iron pigs for nothing.
