Default Who else thinks Mercedes-Benz is beating their cars with the ugly stick?

My feelings:

C-Class sedan update is a lot less bold than the pre facelift C-Class

C-Class coupe looks like a butchered Honda Accord

E-Class is respectable in coupe and sedan form

2012 CLS-Class looks like one of Hyundai's rejects. Ford Taurus + VW CC + Audi A8 + E-Class does not make a pretty car.

S-Class is less bold, less beautiful than the pre-facelift S-Class, but still respectable.

Looks-wise, the SLS is nothing compared to the SLR. Not that I would turn one down.

SL is respectable, but less luxurious looking than the pre-facelift SL.

GLK is a strange looking car.

ML is nice looking, but I'm sure Mercedes will fix that soon.

All-in-all, the E-Class and ML are the only Mercedes' I would consider if I was shopping in that segment; otherwise I would go with BMW, Audi, or Acura.

IMO all M-B cars look like they're stuck in the 80s stylewise. If I wanted 80s styling I'd get another G1

I still think that most new Mercedes are good looking cars. Maybe some of the previous generations look better but the new ones are still ok. In terms of looks I really like the W124 and late model W210 E-class.

I don't think I would go with a BMW, Audi, or Acura as I don't care for any of those cars much.

Um, isnt saying " their new cars look ugly" on an Acura forum, like the pot calling the kettle black?

I dont think Im a fan of many new cars, they just dont seem to flow right, some of them look "ok" until you see their ass, or they are a butter face car and have a funny looking front.

I think the car I like most of the new ones would probably be the challenger.

Only problem is, Acura makes the ugliest cars on the road bar none and BMWs are nothing to look at these days as well. Audi is a bit better, but also not great.
If I'm buying a car is this segment, I want classic lines and elegant simplicity. Not a bent soap box that somebody stepped on.

Not quite. This is an Acura Legend forum, not an Acura forum.

The current C-Class IMO looks better than the previous gen. E Class and ML looks clean and the S class looks elegant still. CLS looks ugly and not good looking at all. But all in all MB still has a pretty decent lineup overall. These days, Acura seems like they hired some 16 year old obsessed Anime freak to design their cars lol

SO True. I only like the Audi A8 from 04-07 I think.. I'm not a big fan of the LED DRL's but the overall car look real good to me.. BMW's are funny looking now a days.. The 7 series is loosing that Majestic look it had from the Lines and the newer one are starting to remind me of Porsche's, which I never really liked. On occasion I may like a Porsche but not enough to put in my starting line up... I do like the New Ford TAURUS, Sorry but the things hot and it feels sporty inside.

Yeah, the Audi A8/S8 from 04-07 looks like a classic elegant sedan. I always liked that car especially when they used it for the Transporter 2 lol. The new Taurus does look good, Ford did significantly stepped up their game.
