Exclamation Help: 2004-2008 Acura tl type s bbk

Hey everyone I could use some fast input on this. So i really want to put a Acura tl type s brembo brake kit off the 2004-2008 tl-s. Is this Possible? Like whAt exactly do I need to do for this to work? Like I can get the calipers, and the disks and pads but I need to know if all this will fit onto the stock bolts. And if i can do this can I move the front calipers to the rear so I have the greatest amount of stopping power. Please help me like to make it simple I want the brembo tl brakes on the front can this be done?

Well since you want fast input, I'll give you fast and truthful input. It's not going to be cheap or easy. LOL at moving the front calipers to the back, that would take some re-doing of the whole brake system. You're talking serious custom work here. I don't have exact answers for you on the TL-S bbk setup but it will be a lot of work

If you can lock up your wheels then your brakes are good enough and you need better tires

With that said no they will not bolt up, im pretty sure the knuckles between brembo equipped TL's and non brembo equipped TL's are different.

Not to mention you would also need bigger rotors which would require bigger wheels AND you would need to bleed the calipers off the car as the legend is a trailing edge caliper design and the TL is a leading edge.

Don't play around with your braking, it a carefully calculated system your live depends on it!

Now installing the TL brakes is off course possible all it would require is machining up custom brackets.

Depending on what discs your going to run custom 2 piece rotors (custom hats) will be needed.

quite easy actually.
Now that's the easy bit.

Having the brake setup working correctly will be a different one. see the BBK threads for more info.

I'd suggest put the complete TL-S brake setup F+R.
The mounts will NOT mount up with the Legend mounts that's why your going to need to machine mounts + rotor hats.

Oh btw your going to need at least 17" wheels don't forget to check offsets and clearing.

IMO it's not worth it, If you can get ABS to kick in on dry pavement when you're carrying a full load with no brake fade then you're fine. The brakes are limited by the tires and the TL has 235 wide high performance tires, where as the Legend as 205/215 wide tires. You'd need to upgrade to 17 inch wheels at least since the rotors are 12 inches, but that would also require a new custom knuckle and hub. In the end you may only gain a 1 foot stopping distance from 60-0, all for $1k+ of work.

Ok so I'll just forget about moving the calipers to the rear, but I do have Acura tl wheels on my car right now so the calipers will fit, and I can get the calipers at my auto place for $35 a piece for the brembo ones, like I probably can get the whole brake disks and pieces so I don't need custom mOunting cause I want to try an avoid trouble, I'm doing the bbl for looks but also the stopping power cause I use my brakes all time and I don't like having to put so much Pressure on... So like what exactly do I need to make the calipers fit on my car like what pieces? The black brake is the one I want to use to clarify

There is no set of instructions to do it and nobody has done it on a (G2) Legend. Figure it out and then post the information for everyone else.

mate i just explained that,
you will ALWAYS need to make custom adapters or flanges. Only way round that would be custom knuckles.
you CAN NOT mount the TL brake discs with out at least re machining the centers and then your hat size will be off.
