Price: See details below for each kit
Quantity Available: Unlimited Time Available: Indefinite How to Order: PM Payment Accepted: Paypal preferred, contact me if you require another method. I make ground wire kits, battery cable/terminal replacements, Big 3's, battery relocation kits, and any custom power or ground wires you need. Each set is made to match your specific requirements, and I provide many options for customization/personalization. I use only the absolute highest quality components in every kit (specifically, KnuKonceptz cables and terminals). The kits I have already developed are all for G2 Legends, although I can make any custom kits for G1 Legends, RL's, or any other car (or boat!). All kits are available in KnuKonceptz Fleks or KCA cables (refer to the second post of this thread to see their differences), and can be braided or unbraided. I'll try to provide as much detail here as possible, if you need further information or would like to order, send me a private message: PM Quaraxkad. Ground Kits There are two ground kits available. One of them is made to match the lengths and routing used in the DIY written by Koji years ago. That DIY is archived in a thread here: https://acuralegend.org/showthread.php?t=2106. The Koji DIY is based on a 5-wire kit that used to be sold by Szita Technologies and is no longer available. I believe that this was likely a generic one-size-fits-all kit and was not designed for the Legend. So, with the G2 Legend in mind I made my own kit. My version includes 6 wires rather than 5, but the total length of wiring is shorter. Shorter runs are always a plus in regards to power and especially ground wires. It touches some important points that are vital on the Legend. Both versions come with 4-gauge wires, gold-plated ring terminals that are properly crimped for strength (not bashed with a hammer or clamped down in a vise), and all wires are fully nylon braided with dual-wall adhesive heatshrink terminating the ends. The costs for both versions are the same. Braided Fleks: $80 Unbraided Fleks: $65 Braided KCA: $75 Unbraided KCA: $60 Shipping: $5 for a USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail box. These pictures show a 5-wire "Koji" kit using Smoke Fleks and Carbon braid. ![]() ![]() Why do I need a ground kit? Many who sell these kits will claim that you'll gain +X HP!, faster throttle response!, increased gas mileage!, and other nonsense like that. If there is any performance enhancement with a ground kit, it is probably too minimal to be measured, and would only show up on a car that had a very poor ground system from the factory. The real benefit here is in providing cleaner paths to ground for all of the sensors on the engine. Every electronic component in the car relies on a good source of power (which is provided by the ECU to sensitive sensors) and a clean path to ground. The original wiring harnesses and grounding system on our cars is very old, and chances are the wires and connections are corroding, which increases resistance. Adding a ground wire kit improves this system to better than it was brand new off the factory floor. Whether or not there is any noticeable improvement is debatable, and you're free to decide for yourself. One application where a ground kit is without a doubt beneficial is when you've relocated your battery to the trunk. When the battery is in the trunk, the engine block is no longer directly connected to the battery negative terminal, it is only grounded through the body and frame. In this case, your car could use as much help as possible in grounding. Battery Cables/Big 3+2 I'm sure many of you have heard of "The Big 3". The Big 3 is traditionally an upgrade to your battery cables by adding wires (rather than replacing) between your battery and alternator, battery and frame, and frame and block. This is not how the battery cables in the Legend are set up, and is therefore insufficient. In the Legend, there is a fusebox inline between the battery and alternator. Because of this, I have developed The Big 3+2 for the G2 Legend. This kit includes a pair of KnuKonceptz KonFused battery terminals with optional smoke acrylic covers, two 0-gauge cables, three 4-gauge cables, gold plated ring terminals that are properly crimped for strength (not bashed with a hammer or clamped down in a vise) and are modified to fit into the stock locations at the starter/alternator/block, special modified copper terminals that fit into the engine-bay fusebox, and is fully nylon braided with dual-wall adhesive heatshrink terminating ends. This is everything you need to remove and completely replace the ancient OEM battery cables and terminals. As far as I know, there is nowhere else you can get a complete kit like this, especially one that includes fusebox terminals. Braided Fleks: $160 Unbraided Fleks: $130 Braided KCA: $145 Unbraided KCA: $115 Shipping: $11 for a USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail box. If you order a Big 3+2 and a ground kit at the same time, they will both ship together in the same $11 box. The picture shown here is unbraided red and blue Fleks. ![]() What's the deal with KonFused battery terminals? KonFused is a compression fitting system used by KnuKonceptz. It is an alternative to the traditional set-screw type fittings, and results in a significantly stronger hold and better electrical conductivity. You may have read elsewhere that these fittings are no good, and if you search on Google you will find a few forum threads discussing them. The issue however, is how to properly install a cable into these fittings. If you cut off too much insulation, your strands will get caught in the threads of the fitting and won't clamp down. If you don't cut off enough insulation, the cable will not be compressed and held in place. The truth is that when properly installed, these fittings can not be beaten by any other method. Also note that with these KonFused battery terminals, you will have only one free "port" on each the positive and negative terminals. They can each hold either a 0 or a 4 gauge cable. If you need more than that, you will need to add a distribution block and some additional wiring to your order. Battery Relocation If you need to move your battery into the trunk, it's not quite as simple as extending the stock cables to stretch between the engine bay and trunk. There is a lot of wiring to be done, and this kit covers it all. It includes all of the required cables, inline fuse holders, distribution blocks, ring terminals, battery lugs, and protective wire loom. Braided Fleks: $335 Unbraided Fleks: $300 Braided KCA: $260 Unbraided KCA: $225 Shipping: $11 for a USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail box. If you order a battery relocation kit and a ground kit at the same time, they will both ship in same $11 USPS box. The picture shown here is unbraided Smoke Fleks and also shows a 5-wire ground kit (not included in the price of a battery relocation), and the individual cable lengths were adjusted for a custom install requirement. ![]() Amplifier Power/Ground Amplifier Power and Ground wires are just simple lengths of cable, so why bother selling them too? Because I offer all of the same custom braid options on them. Typically this will include the power wire from the battery to the amp, a ground wire from the amp to the frame, and an inline fuse holder. Cost will depend on your requirements, and if you buy it along with any other kit, I will include it at the cost of the materials, braided to match. If you want a basic unbraided amp power cable, you're better off buying it yourself and spending less (just don't go with inferior cable!). See the following post for more information and FAQs.

What about kits for cars other than the G2 Legend?
I can do these as well! The only Legend I own is a G2, so I cannot make perfect measurements for any other kits. If you would like something for another car, you would have to provide me with the required lengths needed for each cable, and I will not be able to guarantee a perfect fit. How long will it take to receive my wires after I order? If I don't have all of the parts and materials in stock (I probably won't!), it typically takes 2-3 days to receive them after I get your order. In most cases, I can have everything assembled and ready to ship out the next day. My standard shipping method is USPS Priority Mail, which takes approximately 2-3 days to get just about anywhere in the US. You can inquire about faster shipping if you're in a hurry, and I will get you a shipping quote at the time of your order. Can't I just make all this stuff myself? Sure you can. But you will also need to buy some special tools to do it properly. First, you will need a crimping tool for 0 gauge cable, and these are very expensive. This is why many people "cheap out" and use a hammer or vise on these large terminals. The result is cheap looking, and not a very strong connection electrically or mechanically, your cable can come loose from the terminal and cause huge problems. If you want braid, you also need a hot knife that can cut it without fraying. Braided sleeving can also be tricky to apply, because you can't just cut a 3' length of braid for a 3' length of cable. Braid shortens and lengthens as it expands and contracts around a cable. You need to install it onto the full length of cable, measure it on the cable, remove it from the cable, cut it to length (with a hot knife), and then reinstall it. You also need a heat gun to properly use dual-wall adhesive heatshrink. If you use a cigarette lighter or other similar heat source that works fine for standard heatshrink, you will burn the outer layer before the inside layer has had a chance to melt and adhere to the braid. When this happens, the braid will often fall out of the heatshrink and begin to fray. Why is KnuKonceptz cable the best? KnuKonceptz is one of the only manufacturers that rates their cabling gauge properly. Many brands, even well-known, respected, high-end, ultra-expensive names may sell (for example) a 2-gauge cable branded as 0-gauge. KnuKonceptz Fleks is also the most flexible cable on the market, and that is due to both its high strand count and its insulation material. A common misconception regarding strand count is that higher counts decrease the resistance in a cable because electricity flows "on the surface" of a cable, and more strands increases the surface area. This is not quite true, the only real benefit to a higher strand count is flexibility, and that flexibility also increases durability because it's less likely for the individual strands inside to break due to excessive flexing. Many people recommend welding cable over KnuKonceptz. Welding cable does have its benefits, such as the higher temperature resistance jacketing. But even the cheapest welding cable costs more than the most expensive KnnuKnoceptz cable, it is not as flexible as Fleks, and usually only comes in plain flat black. Didn't you say something about customization/personalization? Yes, yes I did! All kits can be personalized with your choice of colors for the cable, braid, and heatshrink. Cables The best choice in cable is KnuKonceptz Fleks. It is made from pure copper and is coated with tin for corrosion resistance. It comes in Smoke, Blue, Red, and a special Kandy series of Blue, Green, Orange, and Purple. You can also get plain Black, but that is only available in 4/0 gauge size. You can use all one color, or mix and match each cable in a kit. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A cheaper option is KnuKoncepts KCA. It is made from 90% aluminum and 10% copper. Aluminum is not as flexible as copper (despite the pictures that show KCA tied up), and it is less conductive than copper. To counteract this, KCA cables are oversized, using larger gauge strands, allowing the cable to carry almost as much current as Fleks cables of the same length. The result is a significantly cheaper cable that is less flexible but handles practically the same amount of power. It comes in Black, Blue, and Red; a special Kandy series in Blue, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, and Yellow; and a special Metallic series in Gunmetal, Pearl, and Silver. You can use all one color, or mix and match each cable in a kit. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nylon Braid Nylon braided sleeving comes in almost 50 different colors. Some colors are more expensive than others, if there is a difference in price for the color you choose I will go over that with you when you order. I will picture the most common colors here, see this page for high resolution pictures of all available colors. Pictured here is Black, Carbon, Gray, White, Blue, Red, and Clear. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Special Braids I also have more "exotic" braids available. There are Mylar braids which give the appearance of a metal sleeving, real metals (such as Stainless Steel) which are more suited to protection of the cable rather than aesthetics, and also real carbon fiber. See this page for pictures of all available braid materials. Pictured here is Silver Mylar, Chrome Mylar, High Coverage Chrome Mylar, and Carbon Fiber. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Heatshrink All heatshink is dual-wall adhesive, which means the inner wall will melt and adhere to the braid to ensure that it does not come loose and begin to fray. There are 9 color options. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Please feel free to post any questions/concerns/criticism you may have!

I have added some new, cheaper options for kits using KCA cable rather than Fleks, and prices for unbraided kits. See the first post for the new details.

I'm installing your big 3 kit for a customer and I was curious if you had any point to point suggestions for the ground kit.
Thanks, Matt

If it's my 6-wire kit, I included an overview in the PM to each customer, with the intention of getting a DIY up on the Wiki for more detailed instructions. Until I've got that completed, here's the "rundown": The 6-wire ground kit includes three cables of the same length, 16" (not including terminals). One of them replaces the stock cable from the passenger side valve cover nut to the wheel well, behind the stock air filter box (if you have it). The second goes between the two fuel rails: the passenger side rail already has a ground point opposite the mounting nut, and on the drivers side you'll use the front mounting nut. The third goes from the same drivers side fuel rail nut to the drivers side lower front valve cover nut (just like on the passenger side). The rest of them from longest to shortest: The next cable is 15", it goes from the passenger lower front valve cover nut to the passenger side fuel rail ground point. The 14" goes from the drivers side valve cover nut to the wheel well, this is best routed between/underneath the fusebox and battery. The 10" cable goes from the drivers side fuel rail nut to the OEM ground point on the thermostat cover. |

I suppose I should bump this thing once in a while... It's been a year and a half since last post and I've been making quite a few kits but nobody is commenting on them!
So every once in a while I guess I'll post a random picture of a finished kit. To start that off, here's a smoke Fleks with carbon braid 5-wire ground kit and Big 3+2 using KnuKonceptz KonFused battery terminals: ![]() ![]()
