Default Pulling Check engine light (CEL) codes

OK, so it seems if I don't let my car warm up on a cold morning before driving, I'll get the CEL about 5-10 mins after I drive off. But when I let it warm up, its fine and no CEL. Anyone know what this is about?

Can I still pull the codes even though the CEL doesn't always come on? Like I want to go out and try to pull the codes now, but I have seen the CEL in awhile.

Yes you can still pull the codes. The computer stores them in memory.

That's what I did before writing this. I never have much luck with the search option. There was some useful links in my other thread. If you see any links worth while, please send. Thanks.

I think that means bad ECU I'd try pulling the ECU fuse to reset it and then see if it still throws any codes. It's fuse #15 on the drivers side kick panel. http://www.acuralegendwiki.org/index...#4._Clear_Code

I did the unplug battery negative method, which should have cleared the codes as well, but I'll try this too.

Bad ECU? So I'm assuming this is Code 0 on the list? The ECU is the computer correct? Sounds expensive...

How long did you unplug the battery for? It's supposed to be for 10 secs. When you pull the fuse, pull it for 10. Yes the ECU is on the passenger side. When you peel back the carpet to check the codes, you see the metal cover that goes over the ECU.

I had it unplugged for more like 2-3 minutes.
