Talking A Legendary Day

My day revolved around everything Legendary today.
First off, I woke up to a text from a guy that had seen my ad on CL for my LS 20-spokers that I was selling. He was en route to my house to check 'em out and probably purchase, which he did. Once he pulled up to my house, I had to give him a ....'94 black/black LS sedan sitting on 18" chrome Giovanna 5-spokes.
Although it was dirty, his car was really clean, I wish I'd taken pics but I just thought it would be pretty sketchy to ask a guy that I had just met, essentially a stranger; to take pics of his ride.
We talked Legends for awhile and I told him about the site and how cool and helpful everyone on here is. He said that he would check it out and possibly join.
he said that he would keep my number if he came up on any parts that I might want and I told him that I;d do the same. We completed the transaction for the rims and parted ways. Really cool guy and a really nice G2 sedan

After he left [and after I'd eaten a small breakfast], i proceeded to install my front motor mount -- shoutout to BklynSoulja many thanks homie

let me just say that the amount o work needed to install this thing was a PITA!
All of the suspension components on out legends are connected, i.e lca to subrframe thingy, subframe thingy to motor mount, motor mount to motor, this to that, that to this [I'm sure you get my drift] but OMG....it was ridiculous.hgeez:
Maybe it did things the hard way, maybe not...All I know is that it took me a solid 5.5hrs to do the removal, install, and while I had my air intake box out, I cleaned my air filter but that's besides the point -- point being that it sucked.
But I got still got 'err done

And all I had was a 1/4 drive Craftsman socket wrench, a few sockets, and a jack that you'd probably be scared for me to use.
But I'm a "do'er" and I'm just motivated and determined like that....I grab life by the horns and get shit done

By the time I had cleaned everything up, it was nighttime...keep in mind I started working on it around 1:30pm. I went for a little drive and boy-oh boy, man-oh-man...I can feel the difference. Feels a little more solid in the turns, brakes more solid and straight, just feels more like it should. My other motor mount was spewing grease all over the place so I also had to clean the lower front part of my engine bay hgeez:

So just to recap, today I...

-Made a new Legend owner-friend
-Fixed my thrashed front motor mount
-Cleaned my front under carriage
-Cleaned/oiled my K&N air filter

And I aint even have to use my AK, I gotta say it was a good day

I also met a new Legend lover yesterday. A lady came into the hardware store where I work while I was outside. She had a mint '95 GS with only 70k miles. Car was perfect and the lady could say nothing bad about it. She said it was like driving in her living room". We talked for about 10 minutes. And she said she might have some work for me to do on her car in the near future

Cool story Josh. I love meeting random people that have the same interests as you do ya know. In this case it's a little more than an interest, more along the lines of a "passion", but who am I to judge hahha

I know what you mean about sketchy CL people BJ...the only reason I didn't meet him elsewhere is because I honestly didn't feel like loading all 4 wheels/tires into my car on a hot ass day, to meet him in some parking lot somewhere, for him to potentially not even buy them hgeez:
Besides, I'm a pretty good judge of character, and he seemed legit enough through our preliminary conversations, that I felt comfortable with him showing up at my house and looking in my junk-filled garage.

In the end, it turned out for the best. I got some cash, he got some wheels, and we both got a new Legend friend.

I only let certain people in my home as well...usually I meet them out somewhere.

I was looking at a eclipse once, guy actually drove to me to look at it....he got there...if there coulda been anything else wrong with that car...I woulda like to have known what...completely busted up, steering rack screwed, body damage, CEL(s), you name it...I didnt even drive it...kid asked what I would offer for it..

me "well heres my offer, but you aint gonna like it"
him "never know man, whats the offer?"
me "you give me the car AND $400 and I will put it out of its misery"
him ""

Dont ask me about the G2 sedan I looked at

this one woulda needed some real help...rusted all over (big ass hole in the passenger side, door rusted, body damage....I was like  but test drove it anyways....other than he was hiding the fact it had BHG....it rode......nice....till found the blown shocks, the bent wheel.....and the list just kept on coming...he wasnt fooling me...I offered fair money...he declined...called me later that day and his 'other' buyer backed out...wonder why huh? I dropped my offer a steep $500 by then....I think he still has the car

he would've probably been better off selling parting it out. A window switch here, a body panel there....he could've made more money than trying to sell the car as a whole....not to many people are looking to buy a clunker

Sounds like a good day.

Now go buy some tools with that wheel money... changing engine mounts with 1/4" sockets and a weak sauce jack is simply dangerous.
