Default Officially in the Southeast (Virginia suburbs of Washington DC)

Moved from Houston, TX area to northern VA suburbs of Washington DC at the end of January 2025.

Presently we're in central Fairfax County scouting around for a permanent home.

I'm looking for a recommended auto mechanic shop.

A local car enthusiast (has a tricked out old Bronco) advised me the name of a Japanese auto specialist:

A K Auto Services
9200 US-29
Fairfax

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks

Hey Eric, good luck with the recent move! You are almost back into the northeast.

Yes and thanks!!

Living in the deep south for almost 5 years hasn't exactly prepared me for the "cold" weather I'm not used to anymore....

I was wondering about you moving back to the "Frostbite Belt". Glad to hear you guys made the transition safely. Texas is "different" and I don't know if I would ever live there full time. I enjoy my visits but like New York City the time to go back home arrives fairly soon.

Dang it, wish I had a good recommendation for you (that is super local to you).

It's always tricky w/ our cars.
I'll pass along anything I find.

Getting into the local scene. The cold weather was a shock to my system, hard to get used to it. Being from further north NYC/NJ completely wore off with my time in the Deep South!

Thanks in advance!

Your intro for the local ?cars and coffee? scene was helpful. I might meet up local here in town this Sunday at the Vienna Thai & Bar, 226 Maple Ave West, Vienna 11:00 am to 2:00 pm March 23 monthly meet.

I wasn?t aware of a ?cars & coffee? being so big before being in this area.

Probably didn't help that you were in HOTT Houston! I think you made it out just in time though Eric as my parents down in New Braunfels have already hit NINETY-FOUR degrees on March 14th!
