Sorry Penny, haven't even purchased them.

It'll probably be boring 'ole michelin MXV4s again.

the gmax is actually a decent tire, i'd stay away from kumho's thou.

I've always had good luck with toyo proxes on our cars, both the 4's and the T1R's, if its a summer tire, i would def go with a T1R.

also the Continental ExtremeContact DWS is a great tire, i have a pair on my 18's. especially for those with stock suspensions and factory set camber specs

I think I've identified the cause of your apprehension. I've always been lukewarm with Michelins. Jack of all trades, master of none, steep price.

I'm not sure I'd ever consider switching my legend off Yokohama Envigors. I've had two sets between as many rims and I've thoroughly enjoyed them. Soft side walls make for excellent ride comfort, wet and dry grip is very good, noise was always low, treadwear good for 36k miles. Absolutely worthless in even a dusting of snow though.

I recently got my mom's TL onto a set of Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires, too. If they're as good as the surveys and reviews let on, it's going to be very exciting. Similar soft side walls/comfort to the Envigors and perhaps even quieter. Dry grip can be a bit lacking though (at least in her TL) and I haven't driven it in the wet yet. I'm eager to see how it's high marks in snow traction pan out. We've had other pirelli models that have been amazing in the snow.

Exactly Ken! Good call. I've never had a problem with them in the past, and I know they are the up to date OEM equivalent, so thats what I was thinking.

Up here in the soggy NW I will need something with good wet traction. Hopefully something that COULD get around in the snow if needed as well.

Cooper CS4

Put a new set on the coupe late last fall and there was a great improvement in traction throughout this past crap of a Northeastern winter compared to what I experienced the prior year with minimal traction (although I realize the older Kumho tires were really "summer" traction rated, not all-season).

Liked the CS4's so much we recently put a set on our van. I have some Michelin Pilots on the sedan and while the tread depths are OK they are showing the signs of "rot" cracks and I will probably replace them ASAP with Coopers (maybe the CS3's) and I will never, ever touch a Michelin again.

The Michelins have never let me down. I don't drive my Legend like it's a race car, because it's not a race car.

Primacy is your target for the Michelin market now Dave.

I see they have a new model out:

Michelin Premier A/S Luxury Performance Touring

that I think I'm going to give a try.
