Liked the CS4's so much we recently put a set on our van. I have some Michelin Pilots on the sedan and while the tread depths are OK they are showing the signs of "rot" cracks and I will probably replace them ASAP with Coopers (maybe the CS3's) and I will never, ever touch a Michelin again.
i just recently replaced a set of cs4's on our van. did not approve.

Primacy is your target for the Michelin market now Dave.

Always value feedback from you all - especially considering I know I am not a "car guy" expert by any means!

re: Michelin
I believe the northeastern summer - winter temperature extremes on top of the winter road salt conditions have lead to a local anecdotal of a tendency for Michelin to exhibit that "dry rot" and consequent premature demise and that these tires should be well performing in the Sunbelt regions. It's that "dry rot" I see on my sedan's Michelins.

re: CS4 on van and coupe
Only time will tell for me. I know I'm happy with the CS4 on the coupe, especially the winter snow traction. Last weekend I took out the middle row seats of the van, drove 4 hours north, loaded up our daughter's college dorm room to the gills. It was so loaded I was not even concerned about shifting cargo. Nice smooth ride back.

Here's an update for you

I ended up trashing the Cooper tires, got frustrated with the seal bead not holding air, thinking the GS wheels on the coupe was the problem but it ended up solved when I got a new set of Michelin tires. Cooper was no help.

Waste of money
