Has anyone worked in this car before when you owned it? When did the problems start happening?

For the back windows, does the master switch (driver door panel switch) work at all? Have you also tried the switches back there too?

Also, you didn't mention if you have an automatic or manual. If you can, we'll need to see if you are having codes from your ECU. To get to your ECU, you'll need to pull up on the carpet on the passenger side foot well, under the glove box. From there will be a cover. I do not remember if the cover has a site glass on it. If it doesn't, then you'll need to remove the cover to get to the ECU. If it does have a site glass on it, next thing you want to do is place the key to the ON position (engine not running), then you'll need to count the RED blinks and let us know what codes are appearing.

Here's the procedure on how to count it. Ignore the picture of the seat since this is from a Sedan:

Welcome.

As for your speedometer and odometer, the most likely cause is a broken speedometer cable. The cable has two parts, upper and lower. The upper is easy to check and since the internal cable can simply be pulled out of the housing it is quite easy to replace, and therefore it is unlikely that this is where the break is.

The lower is bit more difficult, unless you have tiny, yet freakishly strong hands, and arms that bend in three places. If you look under the sticky "G1 FAQ--Newbies READ, READ, READ" you will find a couple of DIY's that will help you. One is for lubricating the cable, and the other is for full replacement including the housing.

Report your findings and we'll help you walk through it.

Ive tried the switches in the back and nothing happens. ive tried also the front same deal. motors sounds like it wants to work but no cigar.

since i got it i have just done regular maintanence on it, with the odomiter being dead ive been guessing on oil changes since i cant see when i get to my next service date from mileage checks.

its an automatic and ill check the lights when i get home. also do you know how i can get new headlights for my car, ive been looking on the site but really what i need are the brackets that hold the lights in place

You'll have better luck getting one at your local junk yard. Might want to call them and see if they have an 87-90 Coupe in their yard.
