Really glad I decided to investigate the non-working drivers power seat before going through the trouble of pulling an assembly from the junk yard. ONE corroded wire that severed from the plastic connector was the culprit (red/white wire close to the center console). Once I cleaned the connector and rewired it, the seat works all directions!

Unbolted the seat and found all kinds of goodies.

The car is already paying for itself...

Here is the red/white wire that corroded off. I had already stripped it and started cleaning before I thought to take a picture.

So much nasty grime and years of stains and dog hair and dust are caked under and around the seat.

The person that owned it before me clearly didn't care what he was driving around in.. just makes my skin craw thinking about it, so this was a good time to vacuum and give a good scrub to the plastic and carpet. underneath the seat. Still planning on replacing the carpet eventually, so not too concerned with removing stains completely.

I have a question for anyone who knows the answer. I'm pursuing a more "stock looking" radio head unit, and am wondering if the bose HU is worth my time and effort to find... there is a plain Acura head unit I could buy locally, but really want the bose system for the LS. However, the original Bose amps/speakers were pulled and replaced before I bought the car it looks like.
My question is: will the bose radio work/sound good with the plain Pioneer speakers currently installed, or does it need those special bose speakers/amps?

Thanks in advance guys.

It depends on how they went about installing replacement speakers. If they did a rewire/bypass of the amps, you'll probably just be better off finding a 4ohm headunit (stock or aftermarket).

There is an amp at each corner of the car with the speaker, so take a look and let us know what it looks like they did first

Its looking like they ripped out the Bose speakers and Amps...

So what do you guys suggest in terms of stock looking stereo? I'm assuming the Bose HU will not sound good/work without the amps and speakers?

One more quick question guys... I know Coupe and Sedan seats differ, but I'm wondering how much they differ... like enough to not be able to pull OEM leather off of a sedan seat and fit it on my coupe seats?

There is a Sedan at a local JY with pretty decent tan leather. I know obvious things like the seat fold-up lever will have to be figured out, but are the seat dimensions the same in a sedan and coupe?

Yeah the seats are way too different. Its doable though with some modding of the seat rail.

As for the speakers...i have those same ones in my KA8 they are great speakers haha.

Yeah, you're much better off labor wise just getting a replacement HU. If you want a stock look, the G2 2200 with equalizer is a good unit as is the Vigor one with DSP....both 4 ohms. The regular 2200 G2 Bose unit is also 4ohms, but doesnt give you the equalizer.

Thanks for the info Sam. Just found your thread on putting the Bose 2200 unit in! Great help, I will most likely go with either that or a TL HU cause they're way more available at the junk yards around me.

Theres a G1 Double din radio with separate Acura CD player at a JY about 40 miles north of me, but who knows if the CD player will work, and would require me to lose the ashtray and cig lighter. I love the look of it tho.

Id say grab that radio surround with the double din and the din sized opening below. They come in handy if you want to change your setup in the future. If not, grab it and I'll gladly pay you for it if you wanna send it this way

And the G1 TL units are good...But by now most of the CD players have bitten the dust on them :k
