Thanks guys, the car has come some ways; still a long ways to go though.
I jacked everyone's pictures while we were at NALM . But about that picture, only if your Sony DSC-H50 camera magically transformed into a Canon PowerShot S5 IS while you were taking pictures. I only post the photos I took. BTW, all the photos are burned to DVDs and packaged to ship out on Monday.

Sorry to t/j, Mike, but I would have to beg to differ on that, Dave. I've had one for about 3-4 years now, and I don't have the bolts. They make the install easier from what I understand, but aren't necessary. Back on track now, Mike, the car looks *smoking*.

January 2011 Unlike my usual way of documenting a good chunk of build already complete, this will be a fairly small update. We’re less than a month into the New Year but I wanted to give my build a strong start; and so here are first modifications of 2011… Honda S2000 Seats ![]() Honda S2000 Seats! This pair weighs around 30lbs a piece as opposed to the stock 75lb driver and 45lb passenger (non-electric) seats. I’ve had my eye out for NSX, CL – S, Tiburon, S2000 and of course, quality (reclinable) aftermarket seats. These popped up on craigslist, so I emailed the seller. While waiting for a response, I spent around 3 hours scanning the internet (online forums, craigslist and such) for reports of stolen S2K seats in the Northwest; as these are a hot commodity for thieves. Everything seem to check out, but after meeting the seller, seeing his S2K and what he replaced his seats with, I was able to find and confirm him as a legitimate member on an S2000 forum; and that these seats had not been stolen. So off I went to an ATM and then back to the seller for the seats. With any modification I do, I always like to keep it reversible as much as possible. These seats presented a problem. None of the rail bolt-holes matched up with the Legend’s bolt-holes. Solution? The front brackets are mounted into the holes on top of the crossbar (above the OEM bolt holes); those holes line up near perfectly. All I needed to do was just weld in a pair of threads into the holes. Please excuse the ragged carpet, it was like that when I bought the car. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Because the rear S2K rails/bolt holes go further back than OEM bolt-holes, the rear uses brackets: ![]() ![]() Each bracket was fabricated out of 3/16" steel with threaded studs welded to it. The brackets are bolted into OEM bolt locations and then spot welded to the floorboard on the opposite end of the OEM bolt, for extra safety. Mounting the seat belts, all I needed was a longer bolt and a nut. This is a temporary solution; I intend to mount the seat belts in similar fashion to the way they were on OEM seats. ![]() (Old bolt on right, new bolt and nut on left) ![]() (Seat belt bolted on) ![]() ![]() ![]() Results: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I also did a minor update to the outside of my car: CCFL Rear License Plate Light ![]() ![]() Many of us have seen the pure white light, which illuminates the rear license plates of new Lexus models. Trying to imitate that with LED's often leads to hot spots of light on the license plate (not like those pesky Lexus'). A DIY guide can be found here. As of now, the car is going on 249,000 miles and is due for a Royal Purple oil change. I also have a set of Telion's Rear Tiebars and an Addco Rear Sway bar waiting to get installed. |

Thanks guys!
Mike, yea, I was hoping you figured out a way to mount them and make my life easier. I will say, these seats are not for short people. I'm keeping an eye out for a CL-S rear seat now.
