Uhm I don't think she'll do 130 with her ailing transmission and 280K motor... maybe 120.
It takes it a while to reach Interstate cruising speed but it does (did) still have a few bullets left in the magazine!

Updated labwork picture time I guess!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now people don't go airwrenching the lugnuts on your rims! hgeez: The shop and I are going to have a little chat when I go for my tire rotation and balancing! ![]() ![]() Now there was a little discussion on another thread about my choice for an Optima battery. So I'll show what reason I've had up my sleeve for that particular item. Oh and since my prior battery was still under warranty I got this one for half price ($106.82) and its through an authorized seller so my warranty it is in full. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now when you're a mad wrenchman you do things like this... ![]() It isn't actually a first time event though. Oh and in case you didn't know the Legend now has an official name. ![]()

Yeah I've got some really fun "toys" for an audio system build!

That distribution block is in essence a digital isolater for the car electronics vs the audio system electronics. You can attach all your power and ground cables to the distribution block.
As you can see the fused side is for the audio/accessories. In regard to your inquiry about the need for the H/O alternator you and everyone else will have to see that at a meet once Phase III is done. All of that information is Mad Scientist proprietary info! The deep cycle battery and alternator are just two of the electrical reinforcements for the car. Do I have to upgrade the alternator and use a deep cycle battery... Its just to strengthen the capabilities as there are several components in the car that all demand power. This is only a portion of the electrical system assistance which should keep everything satisfied. If you recall I have mentioned that "overkill" is one of the attributes of the eccentric personality of the guy over here<---------- ![]() Oh and EEV stands for Entertaining, Exciting, Exhilirating, Endearing, Enthusiastic (yeah all kinds of "E" descriptive words) Vehicle

Chaka,
I should have known that you would break out the Tsunami Optima battery fuse block. I have been searching for one of those for years. kongbuiltt

Cool, but the distribution block isnt an isolater at all..

Yeah Dave I've had it in storage for a LONG time. I even dealt with Mike the VP at Metra for about two years to get the VERY rare blue display. Most were red or green.
As for it being and isolater in the actual sense it isn't because it does't allow for the charging of two separate batteries at the same time. Its more of a "separator" in that it allows for the audio and add on accessories to get their own current while the headlights, a/c amd other components of the factory electrical system obtain their power. As mentioned it "distributes" power and in this case by minimizing taking it or restricting it from other components being ran at the same time. If you've seen a vehicle's headlights dim or blink or hear its a/c system moan or slow its because the electrical system is being taxed and components are "stealing" power from each other. This will help reduce that issue at the primary power source. (I had hoped nobody would make me go int a more accurate AND detailed description but a scientist should be able to explain at least some of his project if he's compelled to do so ). Oh and Dave one of these was up on Ebay maybe a year ago and it was still brand new in the packaging. It sold for a pretty penny as the seller and eventually the buyer apparently knew what they were looking at. I only inquired since I had one. The usual trick in finding one is to use the part number on the packaging when searching. I'll get it for you if you want the next time I'm back at the lab.

I guess im confused here.. Is this a secondary battery, or is it literally just a distribution block? If its just a block, your explanation doesnt work. Its still taking power from the same source, so this will do nothing to help with dimming/ac fluctuation.. If its a second batt, then yes, this will help.
