Any SoCal members have a hoist?
I'd like to borrow or purchase a hoist to pull my engine. I have a stand, just need something to pull the engine out with.
I'm in San Fernando, up the 210/5 fwys. looking for one of these: |

I've actually seen a light duty crane from Harbor Freight bend at the neck under the weight of a GM 3.8L with an auto tranny attached to it.
My aunt actually works at the HF call center out here and she says they get warranty claims on their cheaper shit pretty often (thus justifying the call center )...but according to her the one that I saw bend has been discontinued...they are supposedly all good now. I'm looking to get this 1-ton foldable one... http://search.harborfreight.com/cpis...oist&Submit=Go Hey Aaron just get on of these: Quote:

I could just use my good muscley arm to rip it out of there for you too...problem with that though is that replacement bolts and mounts are so expensive and hard to find nowadays.
