the only person with a fully custom intake manifold was myself. My buddy pat and I did it over a weekend. I previously had dv8's box manifold which was like 5" runners and a square box plenum. I made basically a mail box sized plenum, and made the runners i think 18" with bell mouths and added a q45 throttle body.

I'm happy with the work and results, the intake runner lenght picked up so much torque my previous dyno at 19psi and a bigger turbo was 577whp/501wtq. Now on 16psi with break up, smaller turbo it made 510whp and 598wtq.

Sounds pretty cool. I'd love to see some pictures but I couldn't find you by searching on that email. When you say you are the only person with a custom intake manifold, you must mean in a Legend chassis. Buzzard posted picks of his custom intake a few years ago, but it's in an off road race buggy.

Hi carwhisperer, I asked you a question on the ecu tuning thread. I recall some years ago Matt/SR5guy released software on the forum for tuning using eproms. As I recall he also went on to implement real time tuning for the Legend's platform, although he did not release this.

Last contact I had with Matt he said he had a job programming for a company making tuning software solutions.

Matt, if you are out there I need to talk to you.

yes sorry i should say i'm the only one with a custom manifold in a legend chassis. buzzards manifolds are unique but are for buggies. i'll pm you my facebook if you dont mind erasing my email from your quoted text so no hacker gets it then you can see the pics.
