Default 17x8.5 wheels with +38 offset

Hello,

I am wanting wheels which are 17x8.5 and only available with +38 offset.

I have a 91 coupe.

What are my options for getting them to fit in the fenders? I hate negative camber and still want meaty tires for ride quality.

You would have to roll the fenders pretty aggressively and those wheels are still likely to "poke out" from the fenders. I have a set of 17 X 7.5 with a +38 offset and they do fit in the rear of my rolled fender coupe but the fronts poke out just a little bit. I have a set of 18 X 8 wit a +38 offset to upgrade to and already know those are going to have a bit on the front sticking out and that may happen even if I go down to just a 215/40/18 tire like I have on my sedan verses the current 225 width tire I have on the coupe now. The front track of the car is a tad bit wider than the rear and those nice stock fender flares up front do a MARVELOUS job of fooling the brain into not noticing.

so you're basically saying its achievable.

I plan to lower the car with H&R springs and roll the fenders as much as possible.

However, I'm not a fan of thin tires and negative camber.

PS. Can anyone share pictures of an 8.5" or 8" wheel with +38 offset?

Did you pull out the fenders/roll them? and how much was your car lowered? Is it H&R springs?
