Default Wes' 93 Sedan build

Here's a build thread for my Ack. Some people have asked about the timeline of my car so I'll go into depth about it a little bit. It all started in 2007, my 91 LS. Totalled 2 years ago, July 2008. Here's a pic, my current one is in a lot better condition so I'm happy.

OK now on to my current one. By August 2008 I came across a Cashmere silver 93 LS sedan. I bought it for 1400 because it wasn't running right and the guy bought a newer car. It had 176k when I purchased it. Here's the pics from the for sale ad.

Here's when I got it to my house. Washed, clayed, and waxed. Then started cleaning the interior, removing the roof rack, and removing stickers.

I got all 5 windows tinted. The front windows are like 30% I believe and the rears are 5%. I also swapped over several mods from the 91: MLS bar, Telion chipped ECU, Remus exhaust, Type 2 manifold, blackend engine damper, and also an optima battery (that has since failed and been replaced by a regular Exide battery). The engine bay came a long way from where it was in the ad pic.

Unfortunately in September 2008 I had a small fender bender with this car that took out the drivers side corner lamp and also dented the hood and fender. Decided at this point to just drive the car until I got it painted. Drove the car around with a missing corner light and a dented fender for over a year, never took pics. During this time I got a stereo system in place, my setup is never finished if you know what I mean, but here's what I'm happy with for now. Not pictured: I have Diamond audio components in the front and MB Quart 6x9's in the rear for speakers.

This is the board that my Dad helped me fab for the amps to be mounted on.

One amp in place and some wiring tidied up

Elemental designs 13" sub, DVC 2 ohm

Came up on a deal I couldn't refuse for an Eclipse DVD/CD/nav/Ipod double dine unit.

October 2009 - December 2009
Car gets painted Liquid Platinum, K23 Infiniti is the paint code. Spends 2 months in the shop.

Also took a trip to SoCal to meet Aaron (kotetu) and bought his TL's that I'm rockin'.

While I was there, I got to meet Devin (kanichi) and take a pic with his nice sedan. Altho I hear it's in need of repairs now?

In between December 09 and now I've done some small things like gauge cluster rings, moonroof tilt, new front floor mats (thanks JZ_) and some maintenance to the cooling system, nothing big.

And just last month, June '10 the car went back to the body shop where the guy resprayed the passenger front door, some moldings, and both mirrors. He also painted the mud guards so here's officially where she sits now

And now for the future. I have ideas of what I want to do but it's all about timing and money. I've wanted to do a black interior and I'm gonna start soon. I ordered some SEM paint and all the prep soaps and sprays for hard plastics and vinyl. I'm also gonna change my shocks to Koni's and re-use the stock springs. I've had them sitting around but I haven't changed them yet. The reason for this is that I also want to change ball joints, tie rods, and some other parts and get an alignment all at once afterward.

Hmm... what else? I've got a set of poly'd front engine mounts on their way, so that will get changed soon. Basically my goal here is to have a 100% up to date maintenance wise car with some nice mods for a daily driver when it hits 200k. It's at 194k right now so I've got some time to put the finishing touches on this piece of art.

I'm gonna try my best to get in progress pictures of the future things I do to the car. I will definitely get pics of the interior pieces as I go through that. Thanks for looking. My car came a long way and I'm happy where it's it but I'm still gonna move forward.
