Wood Trim Carbon Fiber
So my old console piece and other wood trim pieces were in pretty bad shape, so I've decided to take the wood off and wrap them in carbon fiber at some point in the near future. I don't have the wrap yet, but probably will pick some up soon, as I'ved started to prep the pieces for wrapping. As i also have other things to do to my car this won't be high up on the list of priorities and may take a little to get done. Any thoughts on this? I've seen this done before in the facebook group, maybe others on forum have done this before. Pics will be uploaded as I progress.

There's a company in Texas - Craft Customs - that does this as well. I have a feeling there is a certain member (SLC area) that perhaps had theirs done there or even the member who posted a few slots above this ^^^ who is in Texas.

Nevertheless, it took me a few tries to cover my console and to get it to look really good. But, even then I didn't like the look after a while and tore it up and sprayed the console with plastidip. I have a stereo bezel block plate made out of CF that houses my wideband gauge and a few switches and the mdx shifter has a CF insert. Of course, some of you may remember my sunroof delete panel I made out of CFRP, too. - That was somewhat a failed project although I did use it for awhile. Another utter failure of a carbon fiber project was making an intake with a collapsible mold. I also made a NACA duct I never used but looks really nice and is really strong and light...Probably my best part and I don't even use it. I'm also considering making a splitter that will be made out of corrugated aluminum covered with CFRP. You may see some pics of that project soon.

^ was always impressed with your CF work. I would love to see you take another crack at that sunroof delete panel.

Thanks! Really all the sunroof needed was a skeleton underbody. I still have it, and there's no reason I couldn't straighten it out and fix it.
