Ya... I don't think that's how it works man haha. There are better things out there to protect your clear coat than a nice layer of dirt. Give your car a proper detail and get rid of the swirls, then wash it correctly to avoid getting more.

Leaving dirt on the car for that long will actually embed itself into the paint making it even harder to remove. If you want a layer of protection try using a synthetic wax which tends to last longer. I detailed my car back in July and the water still beeds off the paint. As far as the waterless wash system goes, I still use it and even on my wheels and it comes out great. Like I said before the main thing is to lubricate the surface and use clean mircofiber towels.
