An ATF-Z1 replacement
At the SE Meet this weekend, Alperovich mentioned that Idemitsu makes an ATF that's equivalent to Z1.
http://shop.edoperformance.com/idemi...t-p-36421.html http://www.worldpac.com/pdfs/Idemits...pt-12-2012.pdf Has anyone tried this fluid in their transmission? I only have a quart left of Z1 and I'd like to stick with OEM fluid not something that's generic for all asian transmissions.

Someone should try it out who has an auto. I've only heard good thing about all their fluids. But haven't ever tried it in a legend.

Idemitsu is the manufacturer for the old ATF Z-1 and the new ATF DW-1, so their "Type H" fluid is really the old ATF Z-1. No worries about how it will work in your vehicle. I handle the stuff every day.

With that information, I'll buy some and work it into my auto to see how it does.

I know we talked about this ATF replacement in Maggie Valley. Thanks for being the guinea pig first tester with this stuff. I expect no problems for you have done your research on this product.

I figured this out a while ago randomly and forgot to ask about it here. Good to know, thanks!

Put it in this weekend. The transmission feels the same, maybe a bit smoother, but that's to be expected with new fluid. I don't drive it much so there won't be much to report over time.
