That's in a week...that makes me giddy with excitement...and I don't easily excite.

Got the STB in with today's delivery - looks great, like a work of art (I'm no expert, but anyhow looking good)!!
Questions: (Will be installing on my coupe) 1/ recommended torque? I'm assuming the existing bolts will be used, so wondering if there's an ideal range of torque to re-tighten the bolts. 2/ Install STB with wheels on the ground or up in the air? If this was done when the car was new I wonder if it would have been done wheels up, but now the car is 23 years old I'm sure there's some settling of the body so I'm thinking wheels on the ground more appropriate. |

Glad you're happy!
1) I've had these on every G2 I've owned and I've always just torqued them tight plus another 1/8 - 1/4 turn. I'm sure the manual has a specific torque for those nuts, but I've never had them back out on me or become impossible to remove when needed. 2) Install: most of the Legends' chassis would have had significant flex over the years. If you don't have to lift the car for install, go out and buy a lottery ticket when you're done In general: if the shock towers need to be spread apart, jack up the front from the center of the subframe. When the wheels are off the ground, it should be easier to get the bar onto the mounting points. Get one side on, then wiggle the other side until it clears the studs and mounts. Remember it's on a jack so don't get too aggressive in the shaking. If the towers need to be moved closer together, mount the bar on one side, then lift from under the opposite side. Lift until it's close enough that you can wiggle it onto the studs. Also be aware that a bracket for the throttle cable on the driver side will need to be unbolted and placed in between the two bars in the STB. On the passenger side on 94-95 (and some 93s) you'll have to unbolted and adjust the mounting bracket for the insulated AC low side line. Easy stuff though.... Let me know if theres any other questions... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

So are you saying I should have gone out and bought myself a ticket after the simple installation I had with my coupe? I just hope round two will be as simple.
