1st gen Acura RL brake options
What are my options to upgrade the brakes on the Acura. I've done a little research, but haven't come up with too much yet, so I figured I'd ask the Acura gurus.
So, I'd like to upgrade the brakes and such on the car, but I don't want to spend a fortune doing it. I'd love to pick up a set of the 3G TL BREMBOs but also curious to see what else it out there and I'd like to upgrade the rotors as well and stainless steel lines are easy to install, but wanting to get people's opinions about those as well. I figured since I'm about to paint the car and do the whole front end conversion, and install the new wheels, I might do it all now including brakes

I meant using parts from other Hondas / Acuras and making a custom setup.
Such as I read the other day the Odyssey rotors are the same as RL rotors and such and could I use a 3G TL Brembo kit on my RL... Things like that.

either you could upgrade your calipers to the EDM KA9's with dual pistons and swap in the 99-04 Big Rotor with the bracket for it, or you can just swap in the bigger rotor... gotta make sure to get the bracket for your caliper though. 12" rotors and such.
MDX rotors are the same as the RL rotors apparently. You should try the EDM calipers, if you can get them. I don't now if JDM used twin piston calipers or not. |

What bracket are you talking about?
As for the EDM calipers, I'll look into them. Thank you again!

How much you looking to spend?
Its gonna cost a good chunk for custom. If your lucky nd thr TL brembos will bolt on, then it'd be a matter of finding an oem rotowithe the correct diameter and offset.

^^^ WELL... Balls.
And I don't want to break the bank, but a couple hundred $500-$700 would be fine.
