I did this today. Instead of using simple green, I used this:



My seat belts are now one color! WOOT!

It's all about paths and file names.

The links we put out here for pictures need to stay static or we get broken and incorrect image links. So if you ever move a picture you've linked or overwrite it with a different image then there is a problem.

Even worse, some programs will overwrite a file with a newer one if you are always targeting the same directory. So if you use a template for instance and are uploading camera images there is the possibility over time (depending on your camera's numbering scheme) another completely different image will get uploaded with the pre-existing file name.

I don't use photobucket so I don't really know the particular characteristics of their storage facility. I use Amazon S3 which is pretty much like your local filesystem but on the cloud. You manage buckets (folders) and files and permissions. The difference is that S3 is not free, it runs me about 12 - 15 cents per month.
