Default 2002 Acura RL After Market Head Unit?

I have a 2002 Acura RL with Bose Audio.

Can I replace the head unit with an aftermarket unit for android auto and Bluetooth? I'd like to keep using the stock Bose speakers but I recall Gen 2 Acura Legend Bose speakers only worked with the stock Bose head units, not sure if this is true for Gen 1 RLs.

Thanks

As long as you don't have navigation you should. Be okay.

As noted by B+O if your 2002 RL is non-nav it's not a problem. I have a 2000 RL and was not happy with the problematic trunk-mounted CD changer and generic treble, sound, and speaker balance adjustments. Several years ago I had the Pioneer MVH-2400NEX (which has the features you are looking for) head unit installed along with a backup camera, and a self-powered 8" subwoofer installed under the front passenger seat. If your check out (http://www.metraonline.com/) they have the dash kit, wiring harness adapters, and the the adapter for connecting the steering wheel controls. I was so happy with the results that last year I decided to upgrade the speakers too and it definitely made a difference.
