Anyone know how to drop the steering column?

Not having any luck in finding a how to in the service manual or on here. Anyone have any pics or description of how to drop the column?

remove drivers side under dash cover. extend the steering wheel all the way out. There are two 14 mm nuts right where the dash meets the steering column. remove those. then trace the steering shaft and you will see two 14 mm bolts with a U clamp thing. unbolt that and you're done. Be sure to support the column when you unbolt it or else it'll drop on you.

its either 12 mm or 14mm, im pretty sure its 14mm though.

When you take out the first 2 14s mentioned above, be ready, b/c 1) the column is heavy and 2) it's coming down *lol*

Are these instructions just for dropping the steering column or maybe lowering it a little as well? I mean I'd love if my steering wheel was a little lower that it is right now. But column seems to move in and out only.
So is there any room to play around with the height of the column or none?
