Do what I always did, plan the meet you want, pick a date far enough in advance, and let the chips fall as they may. Its not NALM or anything.
It only seems like such a big deal because we haven't been having 3-4 meets a year like we used to. That will all change if I get another legend and a job during the week.

So remember guys, this isn't the last meet ever, if you can't make it (like I probably won't) it won't be your last option for a legend meet. There will always be another one.

Yea I think May 19th is a good idea. We have to set a date as a template or we will continue to go around in circles.

I'll add, I'm more likely to go any day after April 23.

Don't you "sheesh" about it. Don't complain about meets until you plan one yourself. It's tougher than it looks and impossible to work with everyones schedule at once.

Lol this man speaks the truth....my work has me planning both large and small events all throughout the year...getting a date that works best for most is always tough...

But in talking with Mike (our SLO/Cen Cal scout) we have decided on May 19 as the date.

A new thread with all of the day's itnerary will be posted soon.

But first I have a question.....out of all of the attendees, who will be traveling the farthest?? Please post up the following info:

1. Where your coming from
2. Est. Distance in Miles
3. Est. Travel time
4. Route you plan to take (major highways - 101, 5, 99, etc.)

This will aid us in looking at start/end times so that nobody has to leave at like 3am to start their trip or have to return home at 11 pm all drowsy from a long day. It can also help other attendees see where people are coming from and hopefully folks can coordinate caravans if they choose to...

For me:
1. Oxnard
2. 147 miles
3. About 3 hours
4. 101 North from Ventura all the way up.

I'm still tentative, but my times and distance are approximately

1. Simi Valley
2. 175 mi
3. 3.5 hours
4. 118 west,23 south, 101 north
Or 118 west, pleasant valley west to gabes area, then 101 north.

No worries krizno, that was for the benefit of anyone who reads the thread.
