Default Admiration 94 Sedan Build

Hi Guys. My name is Rob. I am going to document my Admiration Build.

Why I bought a 94 Legend? It was my second car handed down to me by my parents back in the day, and always wanted to get another one if I found one in good condition. I bought this from 1 owner, too old to drive car. Regularly serviced, garaged, minor body damage and unbelievably clean interior. Documentation to follow.

For this build, I wasn't picky on a particular trim, as I plan on making it my own and cutting into it.

First time I looked at car Nov. 12, 2016. Found car on Craigslist ad

So you have a kit? Do it right. These cars are becoming more valuable for mint condition ones.

Yes sir! I am going to post everything I've done so far leading up to install. My goal is to have it ready by NALM.

Passed up on car and looked at Legends for next two months. All were junk.

Jan. 13, 2017 With my heart set on another Legend, I started looking for parts before I even had a car. My friend out in Japan scored this set of rare Japanese spec Honda Legend headlamps for $38 for set!

Jan. 14 I was very close to buying this car but buyer backs out after I asked to do an inspection before buying. Not meant to be...

Jan. 15 Found these Lowenhart xPosition 18x8 wheels in a yahoo Japan auction for a steal. Winning bid of $264 bucks. Needs refinish but love the style. Many thanks to Javier Lopez and Orlando Lopez for fitment advice. MyJapandirect helped me get these stateside.

Jan 16. I so happen meet Mark Antony Monnig after some chatting about Legends on fb messenger. We looked at Legends, all which were disappointing. Almost giving up, I had reached out to first guy from November. His listing had been removed but I took a chance and called him to ask if car was still for sale. Mark checked it out the next day and said car was in good condition!

Jan. 17, 2017 - Once Mark told me car was in good condition, I wasted no time. I contacted owners nephew who was selling car on her behalf and had everything worked out the next evening. Official mileage at time of sale was 128, 704. Not bad for a 23 year old car! I was sure happy lol

Jan. 23, 2017 Unboxing ground control coilovers I got 2nd hand from Larry.

Jan. 25, 2017 - Placed a bid on this JDM Razier brand muffler from Japan and won for less than 100 bucks. Retails for 500. MyJapanDirect helped bring this to me stateside.

February 4, 2017 - My good friend Sean Dasselaar installs the JDM headlamps. Wire hareness was made by Alex Alperovich. Sean also replaces broken antenna with working one I purchased from Alan Jackson.

Mar. 18, 2017 - Threw on some RCR tinted tails from Japan (not hilltop) & Muffler Technician installs Raizer JDM muffler

April 1, 2017 - Lowenhart xPosition with Nokian zLine A/S installed

May 13, 2017 - Tony the world famous Fender roller shaved rear fenders and pulled front fenders. He was surprised to see an Acura Legend again after thousands of cars he’s worked on

June 4, 2017 - replaced 94-95 grill with an older 91-93 grill (lower pic) I bought from Alan Jackson.

June 6, 2017 - new plates on

June 24, 2017 - Team HybridPit installed ground control coilovers and koni reds from Larry.

I've been enjoying watching this build on fb and insta, but this is definitely the best place for a proper build thread. Also looking forward to seeing it in person at NALM!

Yeah, I figured since the only way to see my build before is if we were FB or IG friends. There's still so much to get done by NALM, I hope I can get kit on by then, but if there's not a lot of time, I wont rush it on. Look forward to meeting you.
