Thanks.

It's a lot of work for the fill-in dd, but I'm okay with it. I've got some hunches on work that will need to be done before I can tag it... but I don't want to jinx myself by mentioning them.

Thanks to you all for stopping by the thread. I'll update as it moves along.

You need to perfect your dash removal on this project. I saw too much working in the dark on Matt's car. I'll be there with lights galore when you remove the warped dash from your car.

Keep the updates coming!

OK, I'll hold the light(s), you close your eyes and let's do another dash when you call me!

Finally, the L got squeezed into my garage!! We got it pushed into place late last night, now I can tear it apart and leave it apart until I'm done.

I see the finished 3.5 engine waiting for the engine bay.

That's the 3.5 going into my LS... once the L is suitable for my new dd.

I'm tearing the dash out this afternoon! (jk) EDIT: Though the dash will be coming out to replace the cut up harness.

I'm headed out to lift her up and start taking things apart to r&r the tranny... and my wife took off with a friend thinking I was going to mow the lawn. (where are her priorities?)

Dash removal not a good idea until the pollen gives us a break.

I mowed our lawn this morning, then washed the pollen of my car before it quickly went back into the garage. It was Barbados Yellow before the rinse off.

I'll bring the beverages for the refrigerator when you call for dash removal help!

Default Survey on stilts...

Now that the L is up on stilts I have been able to take off the wheels and crawl around under my new baby. Boy, I had a suprise or two.

I think this severed MT tranny cooler hose explains the transmission lock up:

Eric mentioned adjustable arms, but I thought they were on the rear... I really like these front upper adjustables.

SS brake lines and slotted/drilled rotors were a nice find:

The cool-blu headlights I thought I saw through the lenses weren't cool-blu bulbs, it's spray paint on the inside of the lens:

From the Y back the exhaust is now 1 piece:

It's the small stuff... and I'll fix it... but telling none the less:
missing grommets:

Fixing this is going to require a deck lid... this one has been messed up using a spoiler that is not for this car. I have spared you the reamed out holes on the underside that have cut into the seal.

There's more, but I thought this would be a nice little highlight for the thread. Now to get busy on the tranny next weekend.
