Nov. 11, 2017 - First full car detail

Nov. 24 - 29, 2017 - Took my car to my family friend PJ to fix some bodywork. He fixed all dings and dents including big gash on passenger door, which he hammered out. Meantime my friend Raul pulled a molding from junkyard. Resprayed rear bumper as well. He did his best by blending in areas.

I'm in the middle of breaking out the orange diffuser of the OEM bumper lights like you did.....did you leave the metal piece in side, or remove that metal along with the orange plastic? I removed the metal, but unsure of the ramifications of that action lol.

Been awhile, but when I get a chance I'll check.

Hilarious! Yeah I have seen the car Rob!

Believe it or not , I passed on those very rims on the auction because I didn't like the offset. I am pissed I wont have my proper set on for NALM. Couldn't get a guaranteed delivery through customs in time for the set I got picked out.

Def, doing it right!

Oh awesome! I knew I had to cut into car and do some modification to make them fit, sucks our cars can't really work with lower offsets out the box.

I've since refinished the wheels and relipped rears (although turned out too aggressive) and replaced hardware but I am planning to step lip them to 19" cause body kit sits much lower.

What wheels did you end up getting? I use a local forwarding company called myjapan direct. Took about 2 months for shipment. If you need a contact, feel free to reach out.

Appreciate you man.

Okay it took me a minute to figure it out and then Ben just a post or two above confirmed this "returnoftheack" fella is Rob whose Youtube videos I've recently seen. I see someone else is just as much of a perfectionist when it comes "to the little things" about his Legend. I'm jealous that you have people willing and competent to do some body work. I'm the unfortunate recipient of a hit and run on my sedan (parked in front of my own house) and it DESTROYED the driver's side Legend_101 clear lens tail light AND did a funky fender fold in the curve where the tail light installs. I finally got confirmation yesterday of a MONTHS long process of attempted data retrieval off my DVR security system. The HIGHLY suspected assailant is lucky the core was beyond retrieval of ANY data! FIST PUMP! & GLARING STARE CURSES! I was wondering why you CUT the fenders on the back of your Legend. I take it the wheels are VERY AGGRESSIVELY sized as I've seen probabaly the most aggressive "fender rolling" (okay they literally HAMMERED the interior of the fender wells ) on a Legend that can probably be done. I'm enjoying the build progress documentation (I think I did something like that a few year back. ) and shall continue to "stay tuned". Now that I've figured it out I'm guessing participant #24 on the NALM list would be the reason for burning long hours and negotiating getting things done in the next what 11 weeks - hah to the day! I KNOW ALL ABOUT pushing it to get a Legend ready for NALM. I ended up arriving with only about 70% or so of my interior in 2013 in Maggie Valley. I wish you the best of success Rob on getting it finished and to ALL you other guys that are going to make it to Arizona for NALM this fall!
