'95 Legend - sell or donate?

Hi all,

It's finally time to dump my trusty '95 Legend. It has many issues beyond my repair skills: needs a new rack and pinion (doesn't hold the power steering fluid), A/C doesn't work (took it to 3 places, no one could figure it out), and the coolant has oil in it (probably a blown head gasket) though it doesn't overheat, though I don't drive it more than about 50 miles at a time. So, what do you guys recommend, should I try to get $100 or just donate it?

If you have the time and space, post a feeler for a part out and see if you get any hits for the parts, if you do you'll make more than the $100 a company will try to give you. Once you finish parting it out you can let the rest go for little to nothing. Just my opinion. Good luck. Is it a Coupe or a Sedan?

Good idea, Eliot. But I don't have the time/know-how to pull all the valuable parts out of the car.

Scrap metal would probably give you around 300 I guess. I say part it to help other legends stay on the road. The problems you listed weren't that bad until you mentioned oil in the coolant. The AC system in the legend is really not that complicated but at the same time it usually takes someone that knows a legend to fix a legend.
