I have always loved the VW's. Aside from my 95 Legend Coupe I own 2 VW Beetles.

A 58 Ragtop that I have owned since I was 18 which was some 21 years ago as of now. The 58 ran an 1835cc engine that was heavily modified and was a V8 killer. I am undergoing another restoration (pan off) of the 58 so current pics of that will come updated at a later time. Until then here is what the 58 looked like when it was first built. Keep in mind that bright neon colors were the rage in the 90's and not much was said after losing to a magenta bug on the track/street anyway!




This was 2 years ago before I decided to go ahead and just do another complete pan off restoration to make sure it was done right before wasting money on a quality paint job.




The 59 I acquired several years ago and due to the vintage, unmolested original nature I found it in I decided to leave it unrestored and original. I added an acc roof rack along with original Australian only aluminum windshield visor and rear steel blinds from the 50's to keep with a vintage era inspired look. The coolers on the rack are also real period accessories and are usually full of cold drinks. The drinks def stay cold in those metal coolers. The Firestone "swamp cooler" a/c on the pass side is also an original 50's era acc and it is functional. I added some real white wall tires and this is more my daily driver than my Legend. I will cruise this until I absolutely have to restore it and only when the rust is too much to deal with will I take the original paint down.
