Yep, it happened. I wrote in another thread about it but I SOLD the Legend and in the same day I bought a 2003 3.2TL-S blk/blk with NAV. I drove the Legend down there with every intention of having 2 or 3 tire kickers come by, drive it, and decide not to by it. Well, the next morning somebody came by, $3200 cash in hand and bought it...shocked the hell out of me. Sad to see it go, but surprisingly, relieving.
The same day, I took a look at the TL-S that I found and had been in contact with the seller for a few days prior to selling the Legend, drove well, great condition...very low miles, transmission JUST replaced with 3 year transferable warranty (from the Acura dealership that did the work). Agreed on a price and went for it. I can pick it up at my Dad's next Friday but I figured I might keep it down in PHX until the worst of the winter is over...we'll see though, I probably won't be able to resist driving it. Anyway, I can't even describe how much less stress I am feeling as a result of selling the Legend. I should have started out with something that was actually taken care of, instead of trying to turn a beater into a nice car. I am proud to have taken my mechanical inclination and going start to finish with the 3.5 hybrid/5MT flywheel swap, that as well as doing so many repairs that I now can work on many vehicles that I own with ease. A nice Legend is something I will always dream to own someday, perhaps when my life is a bit more stable. For now, I have got to finish the 20 credit hours remaining in my degree program, as well as get back to composing music seriously again. When it comes down to it I guess I just don't divide my focus well, I stick to something and give it my all and during the last year and half it has been the Legend when it should have been higher priority endeavors. Well, I learned a lot, had some good and bad experiences, some fun, and when done, my Legend even provided reliable transportation but I really think it was the best move for me. As soon as I get pics I will post them...someday, maybe another Legend, we'll see. Though I am not really going anywhere, I'll be around to offer whatever help I can here. ^ Thanks, yeah, when I was down of PHX I had my camera with me, right when I took it out to take some photo's and video the batteries were dead. Then I had to book a shuttle within 40 mins and get the hell up to Flag for work
The catch was that it was Sunday, I had work Monday morning, so my Dad did all the title stuff the next day. It's such a nice car to drive...just like my old TL-S but black on black w/nav (instead of blk/tan w/o nav) also, half the freakin' miles, @68k vs. 128k on the one that I owned before. I was looking at a few 3.2CL-S 6MT's, but they were just a little out of my price range...and honestly, they are really just unattractive cars to look at AND impractical. I mean, yeah, the Legend coupe is impractical but it looks damn sexy. The TL always reminded me of an evolution of the KA7, I mean look at the tail light design It's my favorite designed Acura sedan since the Legend and the interior is the last interior I actually like, everything after 03 from Honda/Acura kind of looks "Chrysler-like" to me.

That's good the transmission has been replaced. They like transmissions like Legends like headgaskets. Other than that they are nice cars. At least you got the type s

Congratulations, Brandon. I can't wait to see the pics. A friend of mine had an '03 TL-S with navi, and I liked riding in it. Until I heard about the tranny issues, I was half-considering getting one.
