Wondering if we've got any W126 experts in the house?
Also if anybody knows of a good Mercedes forum, pelase point me in the right direction. I need to know what this line is for as it is leaking fuel onto the engine... ![]()

It is a diesel? I am good with the W123 OM616 and OM617 engines..
Benzworld is very good It is probably a line for the fuel filter, fuel injector pump or the little overflow lines on the injectors. |

I thought you might reply to this
![]() I just joined up with Benzworld, hopefully they can give me an answer. It is a V8 petrol. The line seems to come from underneath the fuel distributor and then connects to the left hand side rubber pipe which goes into the top of the valve cover. Fuel is coming out of the little pipe which means it must be leaking fuel into the valve cover... which can't be good.

I have one of the service manuals for the 1980s Mercedes. It has the gas engines in it too. Ill take a look at it. I bumped your thread.

Yes, this W126 solves two problems. One of wanting a V8 and the other of owning a limousine.

![]() I traced it back to the FPR last night. I can't imagine that it should be leaking so a new one is in order no doubt.
