you gotta think though, that was actually what was in back in the day when tunning was still young. Go look at any old school tuner magazines from the early 90's you'll want to bleach your eyes afterwards, or just eat the magazine because its full of rice.

idk about you..

but i have always thought it looked stupid. Even in car magazines, reasons why i stopped reading some import magazines because of the damn rice burners. even my dad (now 38yo) tells me how stupid they all looked back then and even today, although he just ignores it now.

people need to recognize it's stupid and very tacky to do something like that to a car, and the people who like it need to be checked for brain damage. i mean they think it's cool to put outrageous bodykits , stupid neon lights, huge wheels ect ect on civics and other cars.

when you look over and look at that persons riced out car , they think you are checking the car out and they are thinking "man he thinks my car tite yo" and really what i'm thinking " man your car looks like pile of lime green shit "yo""

okay i'm done complaining.

im glad your done complaining because im kinda offended by your statement. i feel your being abit too hard on a trend that was recognized in the 90's by so many as the in thing. you seem to have been too young to fully understand where the scene was at during that time. everything has to evolve my friend. most ''old'' school ricers might be able to teach young guys like yourself a thing or two about car modding.

dont get me wrong, i used to laugh on some of the really crazy riced out cars back then, but my car wasnt considered rice at that time to the majority. it was winning so many trophies and getting attention from magazines and product sponsers. i was having fun with my club members at shows looking like a bunch of skittle painted tuners. we had 10 to 20 hot asian models posing on our cars every show. i didnt once think i needed to get my head checked for brain damage.
sorry if im jumping back kinda hard on you, i guess it really just depends on where you draw the line on rice and what time frame were talking about. i guess it is rather easy to dog out a style that had its time. especially when you were not part of it in the first place.
i do know this much for sure, there wasnt another 92' acura integra in the southeast that could battle with mine too easy on mods. so i never saw it as something so stupid to do to a car. i always looked at it as trying to show people what potential an acura can have on the custom level. same thing im doing with my rl now.
pics for reference from 1999.

same car in 2003

o.k............ now im done ,defending the ricers.
