dont get me wrong, i used to laugh on some of the really crazy riced out cars back then, but my car wasnt considered rice at that time to the majority. it was winning so many trophies and getting attention from magazines and product sponsers. i was having fun with my club members at shows looking like a bunch of skittle painted tuners. we had 10 to 20 hot asian models posing on our cars every show. i didnt once think i needed to get my head checked for brain damage.
sorry if im jumping back kinda hard on you, i guess it really just depends on where you draw the line on rice and what time frame were talking about. i guess it is rather easy to dog out a style that had its time. especially when you were not part of it in the first place.
i do know this much for sure, there wasnt another 92' acura integra in the southeast that could battle with mine too easy on mods. so i never saw it as something so stupid to do to a car. i always looked at it as trying to show people what potential an acura can have on the custom level.
o.k............ now im done ,defending the ricers.
sorry if i offended you, but it isn't my taste. yes i am young at 20yrs old, but that doesn't mean anything.

not a chance in hell, now do i bash "ricers" knowledge when it comes to wheels , paint and high quality acceserioes ? no . because MOST of those guys put alot cash into those cars and i respect that part . but at the end of the day it's down right tacky.

I like my cars clean and simple, this is the reason i hate riced out cars.
examples of my taste style wise (in Japanese cars)

Now those 4 Integra's (espcially that clean DA) are good examples of how japanese cars should be modified and IMO this shows the potential of Acura's and other Japanese cars.

IMO i think the tuner days are dead and its great cause we all can enjoy sleep again without some loud pussies flooring their shit box and you know they are slow when it takes forever for the noise to disappear lmao...

good question... WTF you need a giant spoiler to add down force for if you cant reach 150mph? lmao sorry but i think its funny just how people spend a ton of cash on decals and other autozone shit and think they are fast.. common since, mod the motor have a good day

Your right i'd always first start moding engine and suspension before touching body or wheels.

hgeez: that's sad, im trying to figure out what makes him think that is cool. when i was 16 along with my friends, we all thought it looked stupid.

let's hope he grows some balls and later punches himself for being a ricer.

Unlikely the same here with ricers mostly a bunch of brain dead aggressive wimps until there not in a group and the are scared of everything

sorry if all that seems jumbled im in a rush... the UT vs Alabama game is on.
age and time frame have everything to do in this friendly debate.
example, my cousins are your age, they didnt know anything about my integra or any other tuner car 10 yrs ago, but as soon as the tokyo drift movie came out, they were all about getting a 240sx and all of a sudden knew everything about drifting. my integra was at that red stage months before the first fast and furious even came to the big scene. there were no imports running around were i lived at that time. there was definately no jdm bandwagon hype either. the term rice wasnt even used to describe cars like that yet.

since my car back then would be looked upon as rice today, im calling myself an'' old school ricer'' i promise you, i can teach you a think or two about car modding. so your chance in hell is very possible.

im not trying to start a big debate or disrespect your views or taste, just making my point in all of this.
age makes all the difference as to what one thinks of rice. those integras you posted are clean but, dont have enough mods for me at any time frame. (maybe the 1st type-r if you add some 18'' volks) the style im into now and always have been of the car scene is the aftermath of stock form. i usually dont jump on any of the bandwagons. i rather try to show that you can break the rules and still come out on top by using your own ideas.

on the real though, at 30 yrs old, that da is a strait ricebox to me. come on, a hood bra and a roof rack. are you serious? the women i date ask me stuff like, why those kids put black hoods and roof racks on there cars so much.hgeez:

honestly , almost all tuners i see now are rice in my eyes. ive seen the same things over and over to long at this point. it all looks the same to me now. i pull into car meets with my rl and watch all these jdm freaks standing next to their civics drop their jaw to the ground. you tell me if this ''old school ricer'' aint tyring to teach a thing or two.

i probably went to my first car event before you were born. now in all those years, i have applied so many styles and evolved with them over time. now that im older, i dont go around telling people into the present style now they need their head checked for brain damage. thats all im saying. lighten up , dont be a such a hater if you not from that era. its not that serious. laugh at what you think is rice and move along. its all just opinions anyway.

ok. enough rice talk for me.
