Default what would you do?

So I need your guys opinion, so I might be trading my 2000 RL for a KA8 but not just any KA8. It is all JDM cosmetic and the type 2 motor. EAlso the transmission has been converted to 5 spd BUT the question is, is it worth it to trade for my 3.5 with no problems at ALL. It literally runs perfectly for a 3.2 with the infamous BHG. This would be my fourth 2nd gen(2 had BHG) but first coupe, MT, and type 2 so that's really got my thinking. Show all the local civic boys how to get smoked by a heavy ass non vtec SOHC luxury car but I already do. Lol Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I'll try to post pics of both cars tomorrow, I just moved just I gotta find my laptop.

I wouldn't wish Legend ownership on my worst enemy but the KA8 is a nice place to sit. Luxury coupes from any era are far and few between. If you go for it, get a pre-purchase inspection or, depending on how nervous you are about the BHG specifically, a leak down test.

I am highly anal-retentive when it comes to vehicle repair so I perceive my Legend to be in a state of constant disrepair of some kind at all times. Other people don't seem terribly bothered driving around with worn out components. The level to which you are anal-retentive might determine how enjoyable this trade is for you.

Yea I gotta go check it out, this one just looks like it needs a paint job but I don't mind about that as long as the motors good.

I would get both if possible but that's not gonna happen. I just wanna know everyone's opinions on a 2000 RL vs a JDM KA8. Seems like the forum is pretty dead nowadays.

If you can't have your cake and eat it too...if I were able to have the KA8 inspected and know that it doesn't have any HG issues - and a known service history - I'd do it. Worst case is that, after a few years, you wind-up putting in a 3.5.
