Default Headlight switch issue (intermittent)

1988 Acura Legend 4-door base sedan

1. Headlights on?good.

2. With headlights on, I turn on the left turn signal: dash cluster lights turn off; the clock light goes from dim back to bright again, indicating headlights are off.

3. Next, I check the front?headlights remain on, but the rear lights are off.

4. With the signal off, if I turn the headlight switch off and on again, all goes back to working normally.

5. Note: the above issue doesn?t happen each time; sometimes, engaging the turn signal causes no issue. It?s intermittent.

I know that certain replacement parts for this older Legend are difficult to find.

Is there a way to repair this problem?

Thanks.
