type 2 calipers
i am looking to swap type 1 front calipers for some type 2 and what i want to know is do i need the type 2 bracket or can i use m type 1 bracket?
|
you can use your type I bracket but won't be able to use the type II rotor.

the type II rotor is thicker.

i would get the bracket and a rotor. that way you can take advantage of typeII rotors, they work better then type1 rotors, unless ur's are new, then i'd use em until they warp and then upgrade to the typeII calipers.
btw, i know we can carry typeII rotors for about $200 for a whole set, and there is a $50 core charge per caliper. |
it's either type 1 brackets and rotors or type 2 brackets and rotors.
when you buy online i bet it asks coupe or sedan if you enter a year 93 and up. also if you put it as a GS it will list the type 2 rotors. that's if the parts catalog to site you're using is any good |
sooo
can you use a type 1 rother with a type 2 caliper and bracket
|
i wouldn't do it, the center line is gonna be off, they might even rub the bracket but i doubt it.
