So far the speedometer issue looks like it maybe COMPLETELY resolved. Now hooking up the unit is very easy and simple but i have a few concerns about hooking it up to vss. The vss has 3 wires which are the ground, power, and signal. I know the ground goes to ecu and power to power source but does anything else utilize signal other than the odometer and speedometer? Does the vss effect anything else because i would hate to modify the signal which could effect the workings of another sensor or unit. Also what exactly does the ground wire do in ecu? does it just ground it and that's it?

Nice, progress in a first time mod thread is always good to see. i would go for the part because it's a re-sellable part for the civic market if it doesn't fit your needs

ok i just got off the phone with Dakota digital and they informed me that their products will definitely work for what i am doing.
tachometer
speedometer

Unlike speedohealer, dakota sells a product to fix the tachometer. Because i have a v6 and the tsx is 4 cylinder the tachometer reads differently so i will need this product to adjust it my v6 (that's what i was told).

so now I'm debating whether to get the dakota or speedohealer.

Oh btw with all my mods and build this is kind of out my budget so expect a MASSIVE for sale thread.

That is true. You will have to convert the 4 cylinder signal to the 6 cylinder.
NSX guys have to do the same... A few of them used the S2000 cluster.

Any thoughts on this guys?

Ok i guess i will spice things up. I finally got a hold of a battery pack and this is what i came up with

This was a huge win because the dimmer switch is on the gauge therefore it can run independent of the legend dimmer switch

fully bright

This is that lowest before it shuts off the face
