Default 2 and 1/2 hours and all I got was peace of mind

There was never any paperwork showing that the tranny mount had ever been replaced in this car. The car didn't exibit any unusual shifting behavior,
but I wanted to be sure that the mount was o.k. Turns out the mount is like new, so I just put it back in and re-assembled everything back together.
Seems like a waste of time, but now I know.

Ghetto car lift

Looking up into the tunnel

Inspecting the mount

Painted the exhaust bolts--I had to improve something

Ready to go

Your Milano Red coupe is so nice Alan. I'm sure Tyson, Tyson's Mom, and Master-Vtec (previous owners) are proud of how you are keeping that car nice and MINT.

All I see on the ghetto car lift are some nice GS wheels. I want a set of those!

Glad all worked out in your search today.

I poly'd the one I bought from you, how hard is it to get those bolts loose?

I did mine with a friend at night. With a 1/2 drive and extension, the bolts didn't give us too much trouble.

I think I'm resolved to poly those mounts every time I touch one... broken or not. but that's just how I roll.

Nice job Alan! 2 1/2 hours is worth peace of mind! I like the lift! As long as its safe and helps you get the job done, its served its purpose!

Its not too bad at all. Typically they are protected from rust by the heat shield around the catalytic converter. 1/2" breaker bar and an extension should do the job to break the bolts free, then just use a ratchet to get the bolts the rest of the way out. IMO the toughest part of the job will be to get the cat spring bolts loose and taking off the shield above the cat. If you live in the rust belt, plan on replacing those spring bolts for the cat.
